At Chaandangarh in Shahra taluka, Panchmahal District Bank distributed e-rickshaws to women from different villages of Shehra under the government's Electric Vehicle Assistance Scheme.

Taking forward the initiative of women empowerment taken by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the proud son of the city, Lokladila MLA and Honorable Deputy Speaker of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly Shri Jetha Bhai Bharwad today dedicated Mercury EV Tech Tejashvi Pink Electric rickshaw to 20 women in his constituency to help them get on their feet. The steps taken by the visionary leader and Deputy Speaker of Gujarat Vidhansabha Shri Jetha Bhai Bharwad has set an exemplary mark by taking this step for Panchmahal-the heart of ancient prosperity, culture, tourism and environment on the map of Gujarat. 

It will provide an excellent example of zero carbon and environmental protection.On this occasion, Jethabhai Bharwad appealed to women to get employment by driving e-rickshaws. After that, women started getting employment by getting passengers in e-rickshaws.This e-rickshaw has been provided by the Panchmahal District Bank under the state government's Electric Vehicle Assistance Scheme, under which the women who have acquired the e-rickshaw will get a subsidy of Rs 48,000 from the government, while the remaining loan amount will be paid by the women by getting employment through the e-rickshaw.
